Cylinders
for the majority of master key systems can also be supplied
for double-entry functions on request.
In this model, each key associated with the lock
can operate it, even when a key has been inserted in on
the inside keyway. An additional emergency key is not
required in this case.
The double-entry function is used in particular
where a third party who has no special emergency key must
gain access, e.g. in old peoples’ homes, hospitals
and blocks of flats.
A combination of cylinders, which lock in the
normal way, cylinders with emergency key devices, and
cylinders, which have double-entry function, can all be
combined in one system.
This combination has direct effects on the locking
restrictions or freedom of key users in each individual
case.
